Yes! The thickness of your garage door can be important. For one, steel garage door panels can be as thin as around 1/8 inch. While this is the most economical of all the doors but barely offers insulation. Meanwhile, insulated doors are a tad thicker, with a ½ to ¼ inch-thick piece of foam insulation on the interior of the steel panels.
